Wine Holidays for Australians travelling abroad

Italy

The north of Italy is the last place we visited for wine & we had a great time. What we found is that the vino is very region centric & they don't often tell you the variety. The italians are very secretive with their wine, but they all have it.

We visited Verona, Milan, Garda Region, Venice, Bologna, Florence, Padua, Rome & Rimini.

Wine Holidays for Anyone travelling to South Australia

If you are travelling to Australia & you want to check out some wine regions, this information is for you.

We will let you know where the best regions are & where to stay so that you can enjoy the best part of your trip - enjoying wine

Adelaide Hills - The Adelaide hills wine region is quite small & there are small vineyards dotted through the region. If you want you can stay in the Adelaide CBD or for a more authentic experience, we recommend Hahndorf. Cheap hotels at expedia.com.au  

Barossa Valley - The Barossa is the largest region to visit when you are in South Australia it heralds some of the worlds most popular wine brands including Penfolds, Jacobs Creek, Wolf Blass & literally 100's more top name wines. We recommend that you stay at the Novotel Tanunda to be central to all areas & because it sits nestled amongst the actual Jacobs Creek. Cheap hotels at expedia.com.au  

Clare Valley - The Clare Valley is 2-3 hours out of Adelaide so we recommend that for the full experience that you stay at either the Clare Valley Resort or else one of many B&B's dotted around the region. Cheap hotels at expedia.com.au  

Mclaren Vale - If you are travelling South of Adelaide into the Mclaren Vale region you can either base yourself in Adelaide or stay at a range of B&B's throughout the wine region itself or else we recommend the McCracken resort in Victor Harbor so that you can see the wine region & SA's most popular seaside region in 1 trip.
